Are Samsung 10.1 inch laptop good brand? do they work well? i found online for $ 249 .
Is it reliable? Does it have a good amount of memory? and Battery?

Almost any monitor will be better than a laptop’s screen. Laptop screens operate under severe power constraints that a AC powered monitor does not have to deal with.

Also, unless you have a 19″ laptop, the screen size makes it better by itself.

I’m looking to buy a laptop, and I’m not sure whether to get a samsung or an hp. I’ll mostly be using it for everyday things like going on the internet, word processing, and computer games like sims. What are some pros and cons of each brand? Do you recommend any specific computers that are in a moderate price range?

Both are built well, and depending on how much your willing to spend, is what kind of features your going to get. For instance, you choose a netbook, they are fairly cheap. Most have windows 7 starter, and 2GB or RAM, yet usually the same screen size, and performance is mostly the same. There are entry level, mid level, and high end devices, it just all depends on your budget. If you spend $ 500 on a samsung, it will generally be equal to an HP in the same price range, unless a sale is going on.

They are both reliable brands, but like anything each specific laptop will have faults. Regarding which brand is best, I would recommend either. It will go down to whichever specific laptop model you are choosing.

The best thing to do is to take a note of the main components, CPU speed, memory, HDD and graphics. Take a note on each laptop you are looking at and compare. Once you have your top 3- 5 laptops, take to the net and research each laptop for reviews.

This is the only method I would personally trust when choosing a laptop, don’t just go into a big store and ask, because they will sell you whatever they want not specifically is best for you.

i have never seen one but for $ 912 i would go and buy a hp or a dell. i think $ 912 is to much for a samsung and it isn’t very popular.

look at Gateway NV series, they have them at bestbuy. They have better specs and are about $ 100 cheaper. Macbooks are some of the best out there, but they cost $ 1000 starting price.

Most HP laptops is built with cheap plastic, and batteries tend not to last very long. Nor are they very effective when it comes to cooling (they got that constant on-and-off-thing going with their fans). Dell has been on TV regarding their awful service and support – its on your own risk buying a Dell.

I’ve never owned or read reviews on Samsungs, but if their laptops are as good as their TVs, it shouldn’t be a problem. I would suggest reading some reviews, but also take a look at Sonys Vaio laptops. You can get i7-laptops with SSD for ~$ 999, which would absolutely blast that Samsung laptop away. They also got student discount at the moment, so I would say its worth taking a look at.

I’m in Korea I need to buy a laptop and the only company people trust here is the native one (Samsung), they tell me that other companies are often faked but Samsung are careful to crack down on it. Therefore I think Samsung might be my only safe option. So computer expects: Are Samsung laptops good?

I am a bit biased because I’ve worked for Samsung in the UK on laptops but yes they make quality laptops.

I for one like Samsung mainly because I have used their products for years and liked them over Sony. However, Samsung has yet to show their faces in the laptop scene in N. America. Most retailers out here mainly sell Dell, Acer, Sony, Toshiba (my choice), HP, Gateway, and some other stuff. Samsung has quality but it comes at a price…a high price. If you can afford one, I’d say get one. Otherwise, Toshiba is a nice alternative.

Samsung has become a supermarket of electronics. Some products are honorable water down and some are good. Personally I would stick with the HP, Dell or Vaio. Samsung basically wants to sell everyone electronics. You could end up with the model for people still on Win XP

I guess Samsung has only been making laptops for 2 years so its hard to say how often they brake but does anyone have any idea? If you have one has it had a lot of problems?

We had one that lasted just over the 12 month warranty before the charger circuit on the motherboard failed. Gutted.

well the only kind of thing i know that “brakes” are the brakes on a car….
but if you mean break, laptops dont just break. its usually the user that causes an error that messes up the system, so buy it and just take good care of it and dont download a million things

they only brake when they need to slow their velocity.

They break no more often than other laptops,or at least i have not read of reports of them breaking at a higher rate.

Hi my name is Casi and I have been wanting to go to school for criminal justice. I have a few online schools picked out. However I cannot at this time pay for schooling and it is holding me back from my dream. Please anyone who can help with this. Websites that give lists of different government grants ect. They are not seen as legit and are perceived as diploma mills. Avoid those at all costs and attend a real college or university. Like I said, start with the education center. It is there to help and find options.

My husband and I are overseas in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I’ve already got some credits for my degree, but we can’t afford for me to keep going, since we’re recieving NO financial aid what so ever. I have heard that we might be able to use his GI bill now, but I really don’t want to use it, incase he wants to continue his education after he’s done in the navy. Do you know of any scholarships or grants that I could apply for? Thanks!
